However, with my selective memory activated, I have little recollection on the event. There are some vague images of major screw-ups with the photo uploading system, the frustrating AND fruitless wait, empty promises by the event organizers, and Jee letting out a bloodcurdling scream before leaping headfirst onto the emcee, who was waxing lyrical about yet another Canon-suck-up shot (wait, you mean Jee didn’t do that? Dang these Taiwan-made stuff *thumps selective memory machine*).
Of course, not the whole day was wasted. The good bit was working that leg muscle while sticking my lil’ Nikon in people/animals/flowers/pinwheels/balloons/Pauline and Jee’s faces and went snap-crazy. And laughing at those DSLR-lugging photographers trying to change lens with one hand while their subject ran/flew/wandered away (wait, you mean I was actually turning green with envy? Sheesh I demand my money back for that memory machine!).
But seriously, nothing like one deadline, two buddies and three themes to motivate the shutter bug in me! Oh, we bumped into Chew Mong and Jerick too =D Thank goodness they were there, so it was more like a fun gathering than a weekend wasted.
Oh, the PR people were pleasant too – but it may be because I was Press (yes, we Press People command the capital letter).
Sadly, my lil Nikon can't fit 2,500 participants into its lens. This'll have to do.

The theme for this year:
My entry for Splash:
My submission for Red:
My attempt for Shooting in Progress:
None of them wow-ed the judges enough to give me those tickets to Japan and semi-pros. But hey, 'twas fun =D
What my lil' Nikon saw...
Balloons don't make everyone happy... especially not when your mother's
scolding you in front of everyone.

Ah, Pauline, remember this? Piece of cake ain't it.
We also had fun verbal-harassing Jee for making us go through the longest suspension bridge in the world (he even had the nerve to persuade us with "Come on it's one of the shortest around la!").

It was fun and mouth-foaming at the same time... =D It would have been more fun if the pap-pap was there too~
Love your shots. For all that's worth, the whole thing wouldn't have been wasted anyway when you have shots like that to show for it ;)
Maybe we should try again next year (muahahahaha)
(The word verification below insists that i enter the characters 'presseng', which probably meant Ah Seng Press or Press Ah Seng. I shall oblige)

Thanks, Jee-sama! You're too kind. And yeah, if I oil my selective memory machine enough then we can perhaps join next year =D
(Oh, all wrong! It's Ah Seng Spelling Pressing, hence Presseng. Ah Seng's not very particular about typo ya know. He's the type who believes in fluency not accuracy.)
